【Exhibition on Ryugu】 The Hayabusa2 re-entry capsule is on display at the Communication Hall of Space Science and Exploration
The actual re-entry capsule of the Hayabusa2 spacecraft will be exhibited at the Space Communication Hall of Space Science and Exploration at JAXA's Sagamihara Campus. This capsule contained valuable asteroid Ryugu samples collected from two touchdowns, and landed on the Australian desert on December 6, 2020. It has been exhibited in various locations around Japan, but this is the first time it will be exhibited in a permanent setting.
In the Space Communication Hall, a full-scale model of Hayabusa2, its onboard impactor, and Ryugu samples are on display. Visitors can also see the tools and equipment for handling the Ryugu samples used at the curation facility.
