Surface features of the recovered Itokawa grains preserve evidence for the weathering processes which occur on airless worlds. Nano-scale investigations of these features using a combination of transmission Kikuchi diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and atom probe microscopy will provide new insights into these features. Through these analyses we aim to constrain interplanetary microimpact flux, and the atomic scale distribution of noble gasses within space weathered rims and microstructural variations between diverse space weathering features.
